The Old Town Hall Theatricals is a community theater group based in a historic 1896 theater that features musical events, mainstage performances and a writer's group.
The mission of The Theatricals is to showcase local talent and provide transformative artistic experiences to the people of our town.
With support from the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition, The Theatricals draw on their network of professional artists, actors, and musicians to mount original productions in the Studio Around the Corner and historic Old Town Hall Theater - the gem of Brewster Village.

"For a couple of hours yesterday evening we enjoyed a welcome and very necessary therapeutic escape from all that is trite and troubling with our contemporary national experience. We attended the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition’s Old Town Hall Theatricals opening night presentation of Sandy Rustin’s The Cottage, and were transported to the wonderfully silly and Cowardly (as in Noel) world of 1920s England. As Gabriella Montanaro so alerts us in her Director’s Note, Rustin refreshingly, yet subtly injects a more influential female perspective to the classical Coward style, so cleverly in fact, that I doubt it might have even mildly bruised the most ashamed chauvinist of the period.
Shortly after 7:30 pm the house lights flickered to herald the opening remarks of Daniel Basiletti, Co-President of The Cultural Arts Coalition, and active member of the production team, and we soon realized that we might be about to be uplifted. Daniel’s passion and enthusiasm for the company, the production, and the charming old (1896) venue that is being restored by the Coalition as a labor of love, permeated his greeting.
Being an open proscenium, we were afforded time to study the set which had been designed and constructed in detail and so well represented the cluttered elegance of the era.
Suffice to say that we loved the show!
It was fast paced and superbly directed. The synchronized reactions, so vital to great farce, were immediate and a credit to the director and the talented cast, all of whom delivered with great humor and "cowardly" wit to a most receptive audience.
Bravo Old Town Hall! We look forward to your next production."
