LOVE LETTERS by A.R. Gurney is the tender story of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two life-long friends. The play is comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. Poignant, romantic, and frequently funny, It’s the life journey of two soul mates – enacted through words both written and unsaid – who share the greatest gift of all: the gift of love. Directed by Pia Haas and Starring Jill Paxton and Larry Reina

SHAKEspeare RATTLE and ROLL An Evening of Monologues and Music and More
The Cultural Arts Coalition is excited to be bringing theatre back this summer with a rousing original production of Shakespearean Monologues, Sonnets, Scenes, Jokes and Famous expressions all mixed with the rebellious music of the 1950’s. A nod to the literary movement of the Beatnik Generation. A fun outdoor show for the whole family. Imagine, if you will, young Helena from A Midsummer Night’s Dream declaring her love for a rejecting Demetrius with a humorous monologue that is followed by a song asking “why do fools fall in love.”
Don't miss this one, it's only one performance in Brewster!

THE GARDEN AROUND THE CORNER SPRING_SUMMER 2020
Since 2017 the Garden Around the Corner, overseen by the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition (TOSCAC), has operated as an educational and sharing garden to local residents and food pantries.
Our community's “new normal” of social distancing, shuttered businesses, lost wages, and closed schools have led to more local families facing hunger. We believe nutritious food and herbs should be accessible to everyone. This is why this year, more than ever, the Garden Around the Corner is deeply committed to growing vegetables for Putnam County Action Partnership and partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension teaching others how to grow and eat healthily.
This garden is planted, watered and picked by a host of volunteers. Please reach out to info@culturalartsco.com with the title "Garden" if you would like to be part of this project. Our garden is something you can do for your community.
Best Practices for Community Garden Management during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Effective immediately garden management is implementing the following practices for any garden volunteers:
As vegetable gardeners, we have tremendous biological wealth. While we may not always have cash, we have access to plants, seeds, and soil that are the foundation of life. We want to share that wealth and help our community through this time of struggle.
We are in this together. TOSCAC is closely monitoring the recent developments around the new coronavirus infection, and are following local, state, and CDC guidance on the public health crisis.
