Master Gardener Volunteer to Discuss Backyard Habitats
Sept. 8 at 2:00 PM at Studio Around the Corner

Healthy ecosystems start at home! Learn how to improve your backyard habitat by supporting biodiversity in whatever space you have during “Backyard Habitat.”Janis Butler, Master Gardener Volunteer with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County (CCEPC), will discuss how to create a welcoming backyard for critters in all seasons, especially insects and birds. She will discuss the importance of insects and native plants, shrubs and trees, using the Garden Around the Corner as a template of what native greenery to plant to support pollinator populations. Participants will also explore the best food and shelter options for over-wintering critters.
This program is offered in partnership with The Cultural Arts Coalition. The Cultural Arts Coalition, founded in 2010, is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining a cultural arts center for Brewster, the Town of Southeast and the surrounding region. The Garden Around the Corner is directly outside Studio Around the Corner at 67 Main St. in Brewster.
There is a fee of $10 for this program. Register via the CCEPC website at cceputnamcounty.org/events.

Open Mic Nights
Every Monday at 7:30 pm!

​Jack Ludlum now hosting!

The Cultural Arts Coalition presents Open Mic Nights at the Studio Around the Corner hosted by local standup comic Jack Ludlum. The mic is open to all performing artists. Whether you're a musician, a stand up comic, a poet and anything in between. Even if you are not a performer, you are more than welcome to come by and enjoy the talents of those in your community. 

When: Every Monday! Signup starts at 7pm, mic starts at 7:30.
